Trip Essentials & FAQs

When are the official celebration dates?

The birthday trip is scheduled from September 16 to 21, 2026. We recommend arriving on the 16th to settle in before the festivities begin! Susannah's Big Day is September 17th.

Where exactly are we staying in Jamaica?

We will be staying at the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites, a beautiful 5-star resort located in Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica. It’s the perfect backdrop for our coastal celebration.

Can I explore the resort online?

Absolutely! You can view all the stunning images and amenities offered by the resort here: Visit Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites

Is this an all-inclusive resort?

Yes. Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites is an all-inclusive resort, so your stay includes food, drinks, and many on-site amenities. Some premium services or activities may have an extra cost, such as the adults only Sunset Cruise for Susannah's final Birthday Bash.

Who handles the travel arrangements?

To make things as easy as possible, we have a dedicated travel coordinator. Please reach out to Natasha Erdos at natasha.erdos@selloffvacations.com for booking assistance.

How do I RSVP and secure my spot?

To RSVP and secure your spot, please contact Natasha, our dedicated travel coordinator, to start your booking. A deposit of $250 CAD per person is required to confirm your place and all packages will need to be paid in full by August 2nd, 2026. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your deposit and your trip in case your plans are unexpectedly interrupted or changed. Travel insurance can be purchased through Natasha.

Can I bring a guest or my family?

Yes. You’re welcome to bring a guest or your family to celebrate. Natasha can accommodate both solo travelers and family bookings so everyone can be part of the experience.

What is the total cost of the package?

The total cost depends on which city you’re flying from, your room type, and how many guests are traveling. Packages are available with direct flights from Calgary and Toronto. Starting package rates are based on double occupancy. If you are flying from another city/country, Natasha can book your hotel stay and airport transfers but you will be responsible for your flights. For an accurate quote, please speak directly with Natasha so she can tailor options to your plans.

What travel documents do I need to go to Jamaica?

All guests must have a valid passport to travel to Jamaica. You are also responsible for having any additional visas or entry documents required based on the country you are traveling from and the passport you hold. Please check your government’s travel site or speak with Natasha if you’re unsure what applies to you.

What will the weather be like in Jamaica during the trip?

September in Jamaica is warm, tropical and a little humid — perfect for pool days and late-night dancing. You can expect hot sunny days with the chance of quick passing showers. Pack light, breathable clothing, your favorite swimsuits, and something fun for the dance floor. Double-check the attire for the Birthday celebrations and don't forget your sunscreen!

Should I bring a gift for Susannah?

Your presence is truly the best gift. While Susannah loves the thought, she also has to make it home with a suitcase full of swimsuits and rum. Instead of physical gifts, cards with loving, funny or heartfelt notes are deeply appreciated and will make this milestone birthday even more special.

What currency should I use in Jamaica?

Both US dollars (USD) and Jamaican dollars (JMD) are widely accepted in Jamaica, especially in hotels, resorts and tourist areas. Many visitors find it convenient to bring some USD in small bills for tips and small purchases, while also using Jamaican dollars for local shops or markets. You can withdraw local currency from ATMs or exchange money at the resort or a bank once you arrive; however, it is highly recommended that you bring some cash with you.

Is it safe to travel to Jamaica?

Jamaica welcomes millions of visitors each year, and most trips are trouble‑free. Like any destination, it’s important to stay informed and use common‑sense safety steps (choosing well‑reviewed/tourist areas, being aware of your surroundings, and following local advice).
